For our Key Stage 2 children, the biggest academic measure for us is the SATs which are formal, externally marked exams which happen towards the end of Y6, typically in May. Children take tests in Reading, Maths and Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling. Writing is teacher assessed and can be moderated by the local authority.
